thanks for the reply, got it working ok. I have looked at telnet and how it works, is there any good sites that show me how to instal tivoweb explained in a simple way? I cant not find anything thats any good.

got it working, so everything is back to normal, I have got my lovely TiVo back. I was wondering is it straight forward putting a password onto tivoweb? How is it done?
