http://www.altepg.com/serverStatistics.html shows that the altepg server has been successfully receiving calls all day today on both 0161 and 0845 numbers. What error are you getting?
Used the 0161 number several times over the weekend no problems.
Have you tired re-booting TiVo, I've had this happen a few times, would throw up a "Failed to connect" a re-boot would sometims fix it, I've never found out while it does this, sometimes I could try 3,4 or 5 times before it would "connect", other times it would work first time
