Series 2 tweak script

Hi new to this as only just got the cachcard installed (should have done it years ago). Was reading around Tivo Community and came across this thread about a tweak.zip script for series 2 tivos. It has lots of nice mouth watering things in it but don't worry not insane enough to run it.

However it mentions in there about moving all the scriptsa out of /var/hacks and creating a new dir called enhancements/varhacks and creating a link to it... the reason stated is because tivo like to clean itself up every now and again. Not sure if it's a series 2 thing but my reading has indicated series 1's we have do the same if they reboot twice in a row which could be dashed inconvenient.

So has anyone done this? is it recommended? am I barking up the wrong tree?
