Parental Control on old recordings.

Does anyone know how to unlock recordings that where on tivo before changing over.
I did a Clear Programme Data & To Do List, now any previously recorded program requests the pin with this message

"This program channel no longer exists in your lineup and may have been locked. Please enter your four digit password. You will need to manually turn parental controls back on afterwards (Or put the recorder in standby)."
Turning off parental controls stops the message but the kids go wild then...
