I'm running it because I got fed up of my networked tivo rebooting when it did anything that needed intensive cpu usage. TWP is still installed and useful for some things, like checking channel line-ups and some hackman utils, but for day to day use 1.9.4 is good enough and causes few problems.

That's interesting, I run GDChecker quite happily (which can be VERY cpu intensive) - I don't suppose you can remember if it was any particular module or any particular situation (e.g. displaying Now Showing at the same time as recording at the same time as playing back) which caused the reboots?

(Oh and I assume you mean TWP 2.x rather than TWP 1.3 ? 1.3 is really just a tidied up version of 1.9.4 and doesn't have all the redesign that went into 2.x)

I have installed Tivowebplus 2.0.0 on six machines which were all upgraded using the excellent 'Hooch' and have never had any problems running the web interface.

I do mean 2.x - it was mainly using the hackman utils but there were performance issue's with other module's as well so I went back to 1.9.4 as there wasn't that much benefit from twp in day to day use, it also meant I didn't have to mess around re-editing changes to scripts I had made, like changing the 'now showing' columns in ui.itcl.

Ah I see - you need to increase TIVOSH_POOLSIZE if using hackman with TWP 2.x to avoid memory issues.

I'm experimenting with TivoWeb Plus 2.1.b3. A bit slower than TivoWeb but I do prefer some of the TWP modules.
