Alternatively, I suspsect the MFSLive iso has an unlock tool or unlocks the drive automatically, although that's just a guess:

Got it working though...cheers fella. MFSLive disk (which I happened to have already) did the trick.

Now just hoping the image restore works properly. Fingers crossed

My networked Tivo also 'lost' its network capability during the AltEPG changeover. Nothing I could do would shift it off of dialup. Without re-imaging, I managed to override the code within Tivo's core code.
It's not as hairy as it sounds, but best of all it's shifted the connection to network only. Have a look here:
