Yes it is the right log but I don't see anything relevant. I've just been trying with my own setup and could successfully access TiVoweb via a neighbour's (ahem!) unsecured wifi but my router's log didn't show anything relevant either.

Apologies if this sounds patronising - you are able to access other web sites on your phone aren't you?

Hi :)
My phone does not always get a signal with the internetin my flat but when I have got one that is when I tried tivo web. Also I have used with other sites, I could give you my ip address and I can always reboot the modem to get another ip address so no one can axes it after you tried it.
thanks :)

Private message. Look towards the top of this page, underneath the Tivoland United Kingdom logo you should see:

You can do some basic testing without needing a phone or using someone elses connection.

1) Go here: https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
2) Click on Proceed
3) In the box under where it says "You may select any service from among those listed above . . ." enter "8075-8085"
4) Click where it say "User Specified Custom Port Probe".
5) After a few seconds you get a report with three columns. Scroll down to the entry for 8080.

If the router is connectly configured it should say:
8080 OPEN! http-alt HTTP Alternate (see port 80 and port 81)

If the router config has a problem then it will say:
8080 Stealth http-alt HTTP Alternate (see port 80 and port 81)

It's worth trying several times because Shields Up! uses a very short timeout and sometimes the TiVo doesn't respond in time.

Hi there
Been out all day so I haven't had a chance to thank everyone for there info and help.   I got port forward for the tivo working. I made a stupid mistake when setting up the port forwarding, I didn't press one of the apply button.

hi there
I am bit confused, I tried round my friends house to get tivoweb and no joy. I checked the port was open and it is, I had the right ip address as well. I am correct in saying I just put the ip address in the web browser? How did you do it drgeoff, could you test it out again if you give you my new ip address?
thanks :)

You also need to put the port afterwards, e.g. http://212.243.212.56:8080 where the 8080 is the port you have forwarded
