Mostly just to fix the "crashing on blank tivi" problem discuseed here.

Please note: the "bookmark" option is OFF by default (to maintain backward compatability). Switch it on by using the
-bookmark
argument to your endpad command, e.g.
/var/hack/endpad/enpad.tcl -s 2 -e 5 -bookmark
