With the demise of analogue TV, we can no longer watch one live programme while TiVo is recording another from satellite ..
I do have a spare Freesat box (Sky is connected to the TiVo), so I could use that but my TV has only one SCART socket and the Freesat Box does not have a co-ax output.
I have wondered about pretending that it is a VCR and connecting to TiVo, but I have the Black TiVo peanut, which has Display where the silver one had VCR bypass, and I dont think autobypass would work.
The other option seems to be get a VCR to co-ax modulator and feed that into the TV directly.
Or what other option do I have .. what is the best way to do it?

It's worth plugging it in to see if autobypass does work.
Other than that then your options as I see them are:
* Get an RF modulator (an old VCR would do for this if you have one)
* Buy a scart splitter box to attach to the TV to give you extra sockets e.g.

I think I will probably eventually have to go the modulator route ..
Just wondering if there is a way of bringing up VCR bypass from the black peanut, rather than auto VCR bypass, because, unless I power up & down the freesat box, each time, I want to use it (could do that I suppose), there would be a permanent signal from the faux VCR and TiVo would be permanetly in Bypass mode. Will try it first, before I lash out 20 sqid for a modulator
I have a quad LNB to give me a separate satellite feed, rather than a satellite splitter, which, I understand, has its limitations.

An update for anyone with thoughts along the same lines ..
I have set up the Freesat (Bush) box and scart connected to TiVo in the VCR scart socket with TiVo set to VCR Auto Bypass.
Everything works to 95% requirements.
To get the Freesat to take over the output to the TV, power it on with the remote while TiVo currently has the screen and it is there .. TiVo continues with whatever it was doing .. if it starts or finishes recording it doesn't break in. To get back to TiVo, press any TiVo button
So why only 95% .. When TiVo has the TV screen, the only way to get to the Freesat box is to (with the remote) power the Freesat box off and then on again.
Edit ......
Now 100% .. the TV/TVD button on the Freesat remote switches between the two
