Hi, Can anybody that actually uses a Humax Foxsat satellite controlled by the TiVo confirm that this will work to change channels if I buy one?
Many thanks. :D

Hi sorry I meant to say Humax Foxsat HD Freesat box!

I used one for a while with a TiVo. At the time it was the only way I could record Freesat. When the Foxsat HDR was launched I swapped to that for dual record and HD recording.

The only problem I remember is the DRM on BBC HD prevented RGB output on the scart so you had to use composite. You could use RGB if you stuck to the SD channels.

Hi Huckle,
I picked one up from ebay a few months back for 50 quid. It works a treat: Iplayer is great, HD channels, HDMI output and SCART, sound's great and have had no problems with controlling it via the tivo (20073). and soooo much better than the SD freesat bush box it replaced!

Hopes this helps.

I had one for about three years and it always worked fine with my TiVo. It gave up the ghost a couple of months ago, but as I'd been so impressed with it up until then I replaced it with an identical model.

Hi Carl,

Hope you did not throw the old box away, as it probably only failed due to a blown capacitor, which can be easily fixed for about 50p and 5 minutes work. (This happened on my Foxsat)

I got rid of it on FreeCycle - oh well it's done now :)
