searching for programme causes reboot

I have an unmodified Tivo on dialup. Everything has worked fine with altepg from the start so many thanks for that. But I've just noticed a funny thing.
I switched over to Countrywise Cooking half way through ( sad I know but it had something of local interest ). Anyway, realising I'd missed part of the bit I wanted I went to "search for programmes" to look for a repeat. Searching for CO brought up no hits which surprised me so I started to scroll through the Cs. After 3 or 4 pages the Tivo hung for a few seconds then rebooted. I haven't seen that for years!
It's quite repeatable so I'm guessing it crashes when it scrolls to the end of the available programme data. Though as it has data to the 20th I would have expected there to be something beginning CO???
Anyone else found this?

......also just noticed the Film4 schedule is messed up. On the programme guide overlay the the list of current programmes ( ie left panel ) is showing a film due at 1am Wednesday. It does show it as "upcoming" so it may just be a gap in the data and not related to the search issue.
I tried more searching. As before searching for CO finds no programmes but searching for COU finds Countryfile etc. Searching for COM or COME finds nothing despite the airwaves being littered with countless "Come Dine with Me" episodes. These show up if you scroll through the guide overlay.
I've never had problems with search before and as mentioned before I'm using an unmodded Tivo so maybe it's an issue with the way the database is now structured??

I do have some gaps in my data at the moment (see
this post) including Film4 today.
Don't know if the issues are related but hopefully a few more people will post to confirm if they have either problem. I'd hang fire for some replies before doing anything drastic like clearing your data.

Thanks for the link re Film4. If I understand correctly the gap may have been caused by deleting data prematurely from the server. As my calls are free I dial in daily so whilst I could understand that if you were calling in weekly could that still be the case with a daily call?
Anyway it sounds as though the programme gaps and my search issues are probably not linked. I'll try the searches later after today's update and see whether it was just a passing hiccup.

Just checked and normal search functions restored. Can only assume something went wrong during update/indexing or whatever and today's call fixed it. If only central heating boilers could be this reliable!
