My altepg setup TiVo is always Rock Solid UNTIL the disk gets near full, then it gets into a reboot loop. Every now and then it will start up properly and I can start deleting stuff and getting it running again.

I've had this problem now 6 times, once I am able to reduce the recordings, then hunky dory....have I got a config problem or is this just a problem with altepg?

Altepg installed from making iso from this forum, have silicon dust 512 cache.

Help, family going to kill me.

Jeff

Just an update on this one.

After searching the forum, found that several other people having this problem, so based on those posts, this is what I did:

* Removed SDRAM and rebooted
* Booted just fine
* Telnet'd into TiVo and disabled mfs_ftp hack by:
cd /hack/mfs_ftp
mv startup startup.disabled
* Powered off Tivo
* Reinstalled SDRAM
* Restarted

Good to go...don't know why, but working again.

Cheers,
jeff
