I really can't imagine watching TV any other way

And it just seems to work! No hand-holding needed at all

I can only add the same. Why is it no other PVR can get anywhere near TiVo?

Yep! Still loving my TiVo 10 years on and I have 2 spares. Thanks for all the help here.

You know, I still have a small shiver every time I get a Tivo message - just in case it's a "Goodbye" one

I'm conscious that technology marches on and Tivo can't be upgraded for HD or anything else that is thrown at us

That said, I still don't see a sensible alternative, so I am VERY grateful to everyone that keeps things ticking along

I wholeheartedly agree. SWMBO loves her TiVo and would be devastated if it ever disappeared.
