guided setup with networkcard failing

hello all,
for some reason my tivo crashed the other day and now i'm in guided setup (hell).

a few weeks ago regular phone call epg went pear which lead to ... me pillaging another old tivo for it's network card.
well that is now in and working.... but.

when i go through guided setup - i can't get the process to get me back to .. the option which relates to a set top digital freeview box.

process
output > select 60
aerial and digital cable / digital terrestrial - now this use to take me through to...
postcode - 0100
continue...
dialout
then -> chose your provider (where i'd pick freeview) - NOW this no longer happens - at all - it just comes back with - you have no info for that postcode.
(then it hangs - can't go back - power off time!)

if .. back at aerial and digital , ie I select other options - i can't ever get to the provider option for my freeview set top box !!

so i'm, in effect, not able to drive, via ir , my settop box - which means i can't control my input - i might be able to record... but - nothing.. !

but i'm sure - there is a WAY , do you know it ?
