WARNINGS:

Dial up modem is fried from lightning em pulse.

I think the power supply is dead - after a power failure in our local area which caused repeated rebootings of the the power supply to the house for 10 minutes the TiVo wouldn't boot up. Opened it up and there are no lights on, on the board ( don't know if there should be anyway ) and the hard drive is definitely not spinning.
