Had a bit of a bad couple of days

First my TiVo started getting "number unavailable" on its daily calls, then I couldn't get to this forum any more

I thought the worst!!!

Have there been problems at alt-epg HQ lately??

There is an ongoing issue with the AltEPG server and this forum becoming unavailable at times...

My daily calls are also failing fairly randomly - assume due to the same issue??

Yep, same issue

I've not received my daily emails this past couple of days .. had this trouble a bit back caused by my email provider junking emails from non-secure sites .. I changed to a different provider and all was OK till recently .. is the same thing happening again, or is it a recent problem with altepg?

Phew finally resolved everything.

Kept failing even to make a test call and then after a reboot that worked and then it would freeze mid download, but after 3 reboots we go their in the end

Many thanks to all involved keeping our TiVo's going, do we need to put any coffers in the pot as a thank you ?

We don't have a coffer pot, but if you want a fluffy feeling then perhaps you might consider a donation to your favourite charity? (mine is the RNLI)

Excellent idea and as I live on the south coast then the RNLI is where it will go

As of 6th Sept daily call is failing (number unavailable) is this the same issue as before, server issue, or something completely new? It's not impossible of course that there could be a local problem but as I'm able to connect to the Internet with no problems so I've mostly discounted that as the possible reason.
If anyone else is having similar problems I'd be interested to hear from you especially if you have a solution

Just run a test call with no problems ..
