How can I get past this message ?

I've already added this units serial number to the AltEPG service and it's running off a cloned disk from my other TiVo that connects and gets EPG data without a hitch.

I'm puzzled

Have you tried to download new data? What happens when you do?

(Hint: your TiVo's "Service Status" is not updated until you connect to the server. And I note that's an old message as it's dated "27/2")
