Is it worth contacting Tribune directly?

If Tivo inc get their data from Tribune, would that not be a good source for the new EPG system.
I imagine there would be a subscription fee for this but can't be too much surely.

Just a thought.

For what it's worth, http://www.schedulesdirect.org/ was the collaborative effort to keep the old Zap2it XML listings available. IIRC, TMS felt that the Zap2it feeds were become too burdensome, and didn't want to take the role of charging end users (instead focusing on commercial companies). Schedules Direct negotiated for US/Canada EPG data, and took on the role of collecting the fees (20USD/year).

Could be worth an email to see if they can include UK EPG as well?

That's certainly worth looking at I think - who wants to pick this one up and ask them?

Not wishing to step forward on that, as I've got enough on my plate at the moment, but I've had a quick look at their website and they do seem primarily concerned with providing data for a fixed range of "approved" Open Source apps. I don't know how this project will fit into that philosophy.
