List of Channels currently supported on AltEPG

Congrats on all the hard work to date..

I now have AltEPG over the network running nicely

I know its early days, but do you know when the major SKY channels will be added to the guide data?

It would be handy having some kind of chart so we can see what is in place, and what is coming.... and what, if any are never going to come.

I think the lack of data (or placing of generic data) in the guide is messing up other functions in TivoWeb, one thing is HiGuide that does not appear to like channels with nothing in at all

Regards
Martin

hmm, not sure.

I've never really used Higuide, but I just tried it and it seems to be populating with all channels and skipping over the ones with no data as far as I can see:

Are you running off an existing build or an altepg image?

Its an existing build...

is that going to cause much of an issue??

Technically it shouldn't, but during this testing phase, a few things are cropping up which highlights some of these older hack's and modules have coding that are throwing a wobbly when they not seeing identical data in the MFS that they are used to seeing.

A tweak to tivowebs ui.itcl module to do with genre's has already been highlighted, again, not an issue we noticed using the altepg image.
So chances are a lot of these discrepancies were already fixed years ago by the Oz team which our build was customised from.

Given time, these little foibles will be found and fixed to bring existing build's up to speed.

Cool.... I understand

My main things that i run are endpad, Higuide, Tracker, and dailymail

I dont suppose there is a way to image without actually pulling the drive is there...

My heart sinks at having to unplug and take apart... just for the amount of work.... if it has to be.... it has to be

Erm, well its a feature we have stalled work on at the moment.

We will look to picking it back up soon but don't ask me how long it will be before its implemented.

Chaps (Dave?),

About the original question, is there a list of currently supported (listed) channels, and ones you plan to support (and if possible, roughly when)?

In passing I saw a mention about Eurosport not yet (on the rebooting thread), which is a personal "disaster" (don't worry, I have a real life and in perspective, nothing about TV actually qualifies, so it's a little tounge-in-cheek :) ). However, my wife has been paniking about loosing Tivo (how sad are we? ;) :D), and my assurances might now not look quite so good, if some of the "important" channels won't actually be working at switchover.

Many Thanks in advance, both for answering my question, and all the work to date! :)

Cheers,

Matt.

P.S. What's involved in taking a channel with RT data, to getting that into the epg? Could more bodies help with this process or would that just make it a "too many cooks" situation?
