Season Pass Error

After the severe error fiasco when I try to set a season pass I get the following error:

-------INTERNAL SERVER ERROR------ --cut here--action:saveseasonpass, path:, env:quality 100 kam 5 showtype 0 keepuntil 1 startearly 5 endlate 1 objectid 461887/11 type 1 seriesfsid 419961 stationfsid 416874 action Create, code:'errNmNameNotFound'
can't scan path (errNmNameNotFound)

while executing
"mfs scan $mfsdir -start $name -count $count"
invoked from: "transaction {
if {$blen<$count} break
set batch [mfs scan $mfsdir -start $name -count $count]
set blen [llength $batch]
if {[lindex [lindex $batch 0] ..."
(procedure "ForeachMfsFile" line 7)
invoked from: "ForeachMfsFile fsid name type $::seasonpassdir "" {
scan $name "%d~%d" num dummy
if { $num > $maxpri } {
set maxpri $num
}
if {$need_npk} {
catch {
Re..."
(procedure "CreateSeasonPass" line 9)
invoked from: "CreateSeasonPass $type $stationfsid $seriesfsid $quality [expr $startearly * 60] [expr $endlate * 60] $kam $showtype $keepuntil"
(procedure "MOD::action_saveseasonpass" line 24)
invoked from: "$cmd $chan $path $env"
--cut here--

Any ideas?
does not matter what program I try I get the error.

Thanks

Gaz

Is this after running a new GS?

is it _soon_ after running a GS?

I suspect that if you leave it a while (say by now) it will work -it may be that you have tried to do something before TiVo has completed it's housekeeping, post GS

Good spot! Also I'd suggest creating at least your first SP using the TiVo, and fully restarting tivoweb, before trying to use Tivoweb to do stuff.
TiVoweb doesn't like:
* an empty SP list
* an empty ToDo list

NB: don't reboot the tivo during the initial indexing period after guided setup!

I found that a reboot of Tivo was necessary *after* doing the Guided Setup and leaving it to complete the indexing, because the TivoWeb would still be seeing the "old" data that the image came with. In my case, I realised because the channels were Freeview ones and I'm on cable. After a reboot (which then kicked off things like endpad), all was well.

A full restart (NB: not quick restart) of Tivoweb would have had the same effect, or a 'quit' followed by a 'start'. But whatever works for you :). I'd be too nervous to restart after Guided Setup until the indexing had completely finished, because people have had 'holes' in their guide data in the past due to interrupting the initial indexing. Either way, tivoweb certainly does need to be restarted to rebuild the channel indexes, and also it dies horribly if you don't have things in place which we normally take forgranted (listed above plus possibly others).

It was almost 24 hours after the GS, I had also forces a call and it was 24 hours after that (actually about 22-23 hours after that.
I had restarted tivoweb.

I put a SP in via the tivo so should be OK now to do these via TW (not tried yet)

Yes, I think that you'll find it'll all work swimingly now. TiVo is a fussy mistress, but will reward you well, if you treat her nice! :)

That makes sense, but with endpad not running initially either, I did a reboot to ensure that *everything* was started as it should do.

Back in the day, I hadn't touched my Tivo much after installing the network card and putting endpad & tivoweb on there, so with the AltEPG image, there are many new toys to play with and I didn't want to miss out. :)

Understood! I tinker enough to have aliases set up to stop and start endpad and autospace, and I don't like the 7-minute delay I experience while my cachecard caches the MFS Db during bootup, so I'm just used to trying to avoid rebooting :-) . (You normally have to reboot at least once at some point after running GS anyway, otherwise your selections in Channels I Receive won't 'stick'.)

It's generally better to leave the channels as is, and edit them after guided setup has completed. Saves time.

That menu is probably tivo's poorest - it has memory based bugs, and doesn't like the clear all channels option
- best to select / deselect in batches of 10 or 20.

Absolutely.

Agree. I hate it. Not to mention the huge waste of space and fewer channels visible at a time than there could've been. The lack of a confirmation on the "select all" and "clear all" options - an operation that can take half an hour to put right manually if you select them by mistake - is egregious.

TiVoebPlug 2.13b has a channel selection module which would work fine as a replacement, if there was a 1:1 mapping between callsigns and channel numbers, and you only have 1 lineup. Unfortunately it makes a bit of a mess if you use it as is :(

Is that something new then? :mrgreen:
