Great news! Can I add yet another big "Thank you" for the sterling efforts going into this project. :D S1 really deserves not to die an ignominious death.

Software version 3? Is this an enhancement of 2.5.5 or 2.5.5 with new guide data et al?

WOW! I'm really amazed! What exactly is that box? A UK box with Oz software or the other way round?? If it is a UK Box, i wonder if this apprach could be used on an Oz box with 2 tuners to make it work over here using the EPG project! Great Job guys!

Very impressive, can't wait to jump onto the alternative epg bandwagon and say good bye to TiVo inc, not that they have done a bad job, but they could have done so much more if they had not decided to cast us adrift with no life jacket and buddy up with VM, also hat's off to the OZ team for helping supporting Dave by supplying us with their alternative epg system as a starting point.
Peter

Tinkering with TiVo's since 2000, now have 8 lifetime sub S1 TiVo's in various states of upgrade/hacked condition & 4 non-lifetime sub TiVo's, too boring to list all the details but most have upgraded HD's & network cards

It looks like the same colour scheme I've got on an old US Philips S1 box running a 2004 vintate OzTivo image. (Which was also reported as 3.0)

Well done - been away a few days and get back to see this progress. Have the spare Tivo all ready to do any beta testing if needed.

The whole first/rerun thing is complex. Maybe less so for you guys than for us, though. Here we will have the same show on 10 stations because we have a different station for each capital city and some regionals. So how does the system know which is a first run and which is a rerun. So we rely on the TiVo's "no duplicates" setting on Season Passes to deal with that. BUT sometimes we don't have episode details and so you get the "No Title" episode. Which you've had before. So I personally tend to let the thing capture everything and then I trim upcoming recordings or delete past recordings appropriately.

If your data has the right flags to tell you what you want to know, then you're in a far better position.

This is excellent news. I've a number of non-technical friends who love their Tivo's and look forward to migrating their's and mine to the new EPG service.

Well done all!
