Record from non EPG Sky Extra Channels menu?

Is there any way to record from the Sky extra Channels menu?

I'm in London and sometimes want to record from STV.
I had to add this manually to the Sky extra channels menu.
To record from STV on Tivo I have to set up a manual recording by time/channel using any old channel number.
Then when the recording begins and the Sky box changes channel, I have to manually select the extra channel using the sky remote to change the sky box to the channel I want to watch.

Is there any way to automate the keypresses and signal sent to the magic eye controlling the sky box.
Perhaps even an external device?

There used to be a device called the SkyEye iTV. It connected to the IR port on TiVo and RF2 on Sky box. You would set-up an manual recording on channels 963 or 964 (could be changed by the supplier I believe) and TiVo would select one of the first two extra channels (as appropriate) from the extra channels menu on your Sky box. It appears to no longer be available you could try the supplier:
