The above is an extract from the Otclient log file, following a manual daily call. I got the same result on each of five occasions I tried this morning, I also got a similar result on my networked machine, after a successfiul automatic call made in the early hours today.

Any ideas ?

I can see download failures in the server logs for your machine, but there seem to be plenty of successful downloads of that slice file from other tivo's around the same time as your failures, so it looks like a problem in your local network. Is this using serial PPP via your Windows PC?

One of my machines connects via turbonet and the other by serial ppp. Hovever, both are currently failing to complete a download. Thought it might be my router was tired so i unplugged it, reconnected after suitable pause, then tried downloading the slices again - same result.

I can connect to all other sites easily enough, so doesn't seem to be a router problem, after all.

Just re-tried via turbonet and this time it's going through ok - mystery !
