menu on 'now playing ' window ..

If this id the wrong forum, or it has already been answered, my apologies.

I have the tweek that gives a menu for sort, add titles etc on the 'Now playing' window ..

Sometimes the menu isn't shown .. may be the standard tivo header or the % used header .. I have not found a sure fire way of getting the menu back


Is there one?

Comments in the 'sortnp' module say:

# (0) to bring up the menu
#
# (replay) to sort alphabetically by title ( A-Z / Z-A )
#
# (skip to end) to sort by date (Tivo classic mode)
#
# (4) to add episode titles
#
# (8) to exit the program

So try pressing the 0 key.

Erm, does 8 just close the menu or does it quit the program.
Just go out of Now Playing and back in, if the meter bar comes back, its still running.

It appears to have exited the menu part of the programme

Have gone out and back into Now playing .. just the % bar appears ..'0' has no effect, nor do any of the other number or thumbs buttons

Not weird. As it says above 8 = exit program. After you press 8, sortnp is not running. It is no more, it has ceased to be, it has expired and gone to meet its maker, it's a stiff, bereft of life it rests in peace etc.

So it's not capable of responding to the 0 key.

However unlike the Norwegian Blue, it can be resurrected, either by reboot or, if you have telnet access, with the following command:

/hack/sortnp/startup
