number of episodes saved ..

We tend to get way behind watching programmes we have recorded, so we set 'Save all episodes' in the SP and wishlist options.

A couple of times recently a number of saved, unwatched, episodes in various. long recorded. series have disappeared and the record options has been re-set to '5 episodes' only.

Has anyone else experienced this?

as an addendum to this, is there a way to set 'save all episodes' as the default for SP and wishlists?

I've never heard of that problem. I could easily understand the recordings being deleted if you ran out of disc space, and this definitely happens (a while after you are warned with first yellow dots, and then the "!" dots) but not the "keep at most" value in the SPs themselves changing.

Unfortunately there's no way to change the default you are presented with when you create a SP using the main interface. Just get into the habit of changing it every time you create one

The disk (1 gig) is only 50% full so wasn't caused by lack of space ..

I know, it doesn't make sense .. but it has happened at least 3 times in the past 6 months .. I am the only one who sets up TiVo, no one else ever touches it .. must be haunted ..
