Dailymail not received

I realised over the weekend that I hadn't received a Dailymail from my Tivo for a little while (15th October seems to be the last I can find). I rebooted the Tivo last night expecting this to resolve the problem, but no email again this morning.

The Tivo has network access and the last section of the dailymail log reads:

Nothing was received, and nothing in my spam folders either.

Please can someone check the logs at the altepg.com end and see if there are any errors recorded?

The server says it was sent ok.

My first thought is that gmail have started blocking our server - effectively treating it as spam. Can you try a different recipient email address (i.e. non-gmail) and see if that works?

I'm not sure I can change that, the release notes say "TiVo will send your daily email to the email address you specified when you registered your TiVo."

Ah yes good point. (You'd have to manually configure an email server in dailymail.cfg: so it's not a simple change.)

Is there anyone else on here who gets their dailymail at a gmail address?

Yes. (To my not-gmail address)

You could try changing the From address your emails go out from - maybe Google no longer likes the default.

Edit your dailymail.cfg (which is probably located at /var/hack/dailymail/dailymail.cfg )

Change section (2.2.4) from

to

set sender "donotreply@epg.me.uk"

Also, make sure you whitelist the email sender i.e. donotreply@altepg.com (or whatever you set it to)
